A bit about Connie!

Bright Blessings,

My name is Connie S Owens, an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church. My spiritual beliefs are of spirit, I have chosen to remain unaffiliated with any denomination.  I am eclectic in nature, preferring to take what I can use and leave the rest. This occurs after thorough investigation.

I prefer to follow Ghandi’s advice and be the change I wish to see in this world. Learning from each person that I encounter, giving in order to keep, recycling, reusing, and creating from abundant resources.

I practice what I teach, utilizing many styles of meditation into a basic set, each day I take time for me, reading,  meditation and journaling are a part of my morning ritual. It has taken me some years to put the terrific advise I have received into practice. During these years of valid attempts I have learned a great deal about resistance and change.  Some days have been better than others, but over all every day is filled with blessings.

If I had my life to do all over again there is nothing I would think of changing. All the pain, torture, nightmares, anger (actually rage), grief, torment, insanity, I would not want to repeat it, but I would not want to change it. Each unhealthy aspect of my life has improved it, brought me to the wonderful place I am now. My life has been just what it was suppose to be. Each experience has brought me many rewards, blessings, and healing of those things that I did not have control over.

I use to punish myself for being ignorant, making poor choices, always being the problem, actually I was living what others said about me. Ignorance is not bliss. When you cannot join with another in their journey, rather trying to control every aspect of that person’s life so it will be more comfortable for you, then you need to leave, seek your own recovery, then join that person. Otherwise you add more harm, not help. Although for those who could not understand, choose to not join me in the spiritual path I owe them many thanks for helping me to know what I did not want in my life.

Join me in this journey, it won’t always be loads of fun, but it will have many rewards.
